Terms of Service

Welcome to The Love Star™! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the The Love Star™ mobile applications (iOS and Android), our website(s), services, and related content (collectively, the "Services"), including but not limited to social posting, online dating (including real-time messaging and voice messages), astrology services (including birth charts, saved charts for family, friends, and love interests, chart-to-chart compatibility, Ask AI birth chart questions, and transit forecasts), AI-generated insights, optional dating recommendations, and singles events. By creating an account, checking in to an event, purchasing a ticket, or using the Services in any way, you agree to these Terms in full, including the Release and Waiver of Claims (Section 12), Limitation of Liability (Section 13), Indemnification (Section 14), and Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver (Section 15). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use The Love Star™. By using the Services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. We use an age gate at sign-up: an 18+ confirmation and date-of-birth checks (including server-side rejection of under-18 profiles). We may refuse or delete accounts that do not meet this requirement.

2. Account and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details reasonably current. You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your account, including content you upload and messages you send.

You may sign in using email and password, email verification codes, or optional third-party authentication (such as Google or Apple). Third-party sign-in is subject to those providers' terms and policies in addition to these Terms.

3. User Content and License Grant

You may upload photos, messages, voice messages, birth details (including birth details you provide for saved charts), event feedback/notes, reactions, poll responses, or other content ("User Content") to facilitate matchmaking, astrology features, and social interactions (including social posts and event participation). You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant The Love Star™ a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, store, reproduce, publicly display, distribute, modify, and create derivative works of your User Content as necessary to operate, improve, and promote the Services.

If you submit User Content that includes another person's image, voice, or personal information (including birth details for saved charts), you represent that you have the necessary rights and permissions to do so.

This license survives the termination of your account solely for: (a) operating the Services and honoring prior shares (for example, content sent to other users), (b) security, compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcing these Terms, and (c) archival and promotional purposes where lawful.

4. The Love Star™ Content and Intellectual Property

All content created by The Love Star™, including, but not limited to, proprietary astrology algorithms, compatibility scores, personality reports, synastry charts, event notes generated by the system, designs, text, graphics, and computer code (collectively, "The Love Star™ Content"), are the exclusive property of Zelo LLC. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to view and use The Love Star™ Content solely for your personal, non-commercial use within the Services.

5. User Conduct, Content Standards, and Prohibited Behavior

By using the Services, you agree to adhere to these Community and Safety Guidelines. Any violation may result in account suspension or termination under Section 6.

1. Respect and Courtesy: You must treat other users with respect and courtesy. Harassment, hate speech, or any form of disrespectful behavior, including discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or any other factor, will not be tolerated.
2. Safety and Boundaries: Always seek consent and respect personal boundaries. Unsolicited explicit content, aggressive behavior, or harassment will result in immediate action. Prioritize your safety and avoid sharing personal information such as home address or financial details with other users.
3. Profile Integrity: You must provide accurate and truthful information in your profile. Misrepresentation or the use of fake profiles, including impersonating someone else or using other deceptive practices, is strictly prohibited.
4. Content Appropriateness: All content, including profile photos, posts, and text, must be appropriate for a social and dating environment. You must follow guidelines for profile photos and avoid explicit, obscene, or offensive content. Inappropriate content, spam, or solicitation will be removed, and your profile may be blocked.
5. Responsible Usage: You are responsible for adhering to local laws and regulations while using the app. You are not allowed to spam others with unwanted messages, engage in solicitation, or attempt to move users off-platform for harmful or deceptive purposes. Use messaging responsibly; unsolicited or explicit messages may lead to account suspension.
6. Reporting and Disputes: You must report any inappropriate behavior or profiles using the in-app reporting and blocking features. In case of disputes with other users, you must contact The Love Star™ support for assistance and must not engage in public confrontations.
7. Maintenance: You should keep the app updated to access new features and security enhancements.

6. Right to Deny Service; Termination

The Love Star™ reserves the right to suspend, restrict, ban, or terminate your account or access to the Services, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms (including the conduct standards in Section 5), risk to the platform or other users, inactivity, legal compliance, or for any other reason or no reason.

You may stop using the Services at any time. You may delete your account as described in Section 16. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel app-store subscriptions (see Section 7).

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive—including Sections 3 (license for prior shares), 4, 12–15, and 21—survive termination.

7. Purchases, Payments, and Subscriptions

The Love Star™ may offer one-time purchases (for example, event tickets, saved birth charts beyond your free allowance, compatibility reports, and current transit readings) and, where available, recurring subscriptions (for example, premium dating or astrology features). Payment terms, including price and billing interval, are presented before you complete a purchase.

We may change prices for any paid feature or offering at any time in our sole discretion. The price shown at checkout applies only to that transaction; future purchases may be at different prices. Price changes do not affect amounts already paid for completed purchases.

One-time purchases are generally non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated at checkout.

Subscriptions (when offered):

• You authorize recurring charges at the price and interval shown at signup until you cancel.
• We or the app store (Apple/Google) will send renewal reminders where required by law before each billing period.
• You may cancel in app settings, through Apple Subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions, or by emailing support@zelo.chat. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues through the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise.
• Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription — cancel the subscription separately to avoid future charges.

All payments are non-refundable unless required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase. Tickets for events organized by Zelo LLC are generally final and non-refundable (see Section 18.15). Member-hosted community events follow the payout and refund terms below. We may use third-party payment processors and platform billing (such as Stripe, Apple, or Google). Your purchase may also be subject to the third party's terms and policies.

Community event tickets

When you publish an event on The Love Star, you set the ticket price and you keep that price. The buyer pays your price, a platform fee on top, and Stripe’s card fee. Community events stay on The Love Star and are not published to our Eventbrite or Meetup accounts.

• Room size: a community event holds at most 500 guests. That is the largest room we have held with every guest scored against the others. The last person to join that room finished in under a second. A page of the guest list, and a page of compatibility scores, each loaded in a few milliseconds. The guest list loads 100 people at a time. Compatibility scores load 100 at a time.
• Self-serve events: the platform fee is a percent of the ticket price, added for the buyer. It depends on the room, because every guest is checked against the others. 5% up to 50 guests, 8% up to 200, and 12% up to 500. Stripe’s card fee is 2.9% + $0.30, also paid by the buyer.
• Featured nights where The Love Star helps fill the room: the platform fee is 10 points above the self-serve rate for that room (15% up to 50 guests, 18% up to 200, and 22% up to 500). The card fee is unchanged. A host call is how that lane starts.
• Example: on a $25 self-serve ticket for 50 guests or fewer, you receive $25. The buyer pays about $27.31 ($1.25 platform fee and about $1.06 card fee). The same $25 ticket is an 8% fee for 200 guests and 12% for 500.
• Free events up to 50 guests have no platform fee and no monthly host fee. A larger room cannot be free. The ticket must be at least $5 up to 200 guests and $10 up to 500, so the compatibility checks are paid.
• Payout is held until 48 hours after the event. Refunds come out of your share. The platform fee is refunded with the ticket.
• Paid checkout starts when the host connects a payout account. Until then, guests can see the price and are not charged.

Host responsibility for safety and privacy. The safety of an event you host, and the privacy of people at that event, are your responsibility. You are solely responsible for who is admitted, how people are treated, the venue, photos and recordings, and any attendee information you collect, receive, or share because of the event. The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC provide the listing and, where enabled, ticket checkout. We do not operate your event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC cannot be held accountable or liable for the safety or privacy of an event you host, or for your acts or omissions as host.

Right to terminate an event. The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC reserve the right to cancel, remove, or otherwise terminate any event, including an event a member hosts and an event we organize, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason. Terminating an event does not make us the host of a member’s night. Ticket refunds follow the terms that already apply to that event.

Interview opt-in

If you are single, you host events, or you follow astrology, you may opt in to be considered for a The Love Star interview. Opting in is a request to be contacted. It is not permission to publish your name, face, or voice. We publish an interview only after you agree to that specific interview. Requesting an interview does not add store credit or Ask AI questions.

8. Online Dating, Messaging, and Real-Time Features

The Love Star™ includes online dating and messaging features, which may include mutual matching, real-time chat updates, read receipts, media sharing, and voice messages.

1. Mutual matches: Certain chat or interaction features may be available only after a mutual match or other eligibility criteria.
2. Opt-in dating: Dating and match recommendations can be enabled or disabled in settings. Disabling dating stops new dating recommendations but does not delete existing matches or chat history.
3. Voice messages and media: You are responsible for all media you upload or send, including voice messages. Do not send content that you do not have rights to share, and do not share sensitive personal information.
4. No background checks for online profiles: The Love Star™ does not perform background checks on users or online dating profiles. You are responsible for your interactions and should use caution and good judgment when communicating with others.
5. Do not share sensitive information: Do not share sensitive, financial, or other important personal information (for example, passwords, bank details, government IDs, crypto wallets, home address, or any confidential information) with a stranger online.
6. Real-time delivery is not guaranteed: Real-time updates (for example, message delivery status, read receipts, and notifications) may be delayed, duplicated, or fail due to connectivity, device settings, or service interruptions.
7. Event in-app chat: Mutual event matches open chat threads automatically in the Messages tab on the app or website. Match result emails list matched names and link you to Messages. The same conduct rules in this Section apply. Users may request synastry or compatibility information within chat features where offered.
8. Blocking, reporting, and enforcement: You may block or report users using in-app tools. The Love Star™ may investigate and take action at its discretion, including removing content, restricting features, suspending accounts, or permanently banning/blocking users for bad behavior or violations of these Terms.

9. Social Posting, Polls, and Community Features

The Love Star™ may allow you to create and interact with social content, including posts, comments, likes/dislikes, views, saves, poll questions/options, and poll votes.

1. Visibility: Depending on the feature and your settings, your social content may be visible to other users.
2. Moderation: The Love Star™ may remove or restrict access to content (including posts, comments, media, or accounts) that violates these Terms or that we determine is harmful, misleading, unsafe, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate. We reserve the right to remove comments that are inaccurate, spammy, or do not contribute to a constructive community.
3. No guarantees: We do not guarantee that content will be stored indefinitely, displayed, or delivered without interruption. Features may change over time.
4. User-generated content; no endorsement: The Love Star™ is a platform for user expression. We do not pre-screen all User Content and do not endorse, verify, or guarantee User Content posted by users. Opinions in User Content are those of the posting user, not Zelo LLC. To the maximum extent permitted by law, including the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230) where applicable, we are not the publisher or speaker of User Content and are not liable for User Content, statements, or conduct of users, hosts, or third parties. We may remove or disable access to User Content at any time without notice. See Section 21 for copyright complaints.

10. Astrology, Saved Charts, and Compatibility

The Love Star™ provides astrology features for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice.

1. Your birth chart: Your primary birth chart is generated from birth details in your profile. It may include a chart wheel, AI-generated interpretations, element and modality balance, growth periods, and planetary placement details.
2. Saved birth charts: You may create up to ten saved birth charts for family members, friends, or love interests. Each saved chart is labeled Family, Friend, or Love interest. You represent that you have a lawful basis to provide another person's birth details (such as their permission or appropriate family authority). You must not impersonate others or upload birth data without the necessary rights.
3. Compatibility: The Love Star™ offers compatibility features in several contexts:
   • Compatibility tab: You may enter a partner's birth details manually to generate compatibility reports, including synastry chart images, AI insights, and optional email delivery. Report history may be stored in your account.
   • Saved-chart compatibility: You may compare your primary chart with any saved chart, or compare any two saved charts you own.
   • Dating and events: Compatibility scores may be shown when browsing dating matches or attending events, based on your primary chart.

   When a Family chart is involved in a compatibility comparison, Love Language and Physical Chemistry metrics may be omitted to reflect a platonic context. Friend and Love interest charts may show full compatibility metrics.

4. Ask AI: You may ask questions about your birth chart. Answers are AI-generated and interpretive. Usage limits may apply. Ask AI is not a substitute for professional advice.
5. Transit forecasts: The Love Star™ may offer time-based transit interpretations (such as daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly forecasts). These are informational and entertainment only.
6. Compatibility percentile: Where shown, percentile scores provide statistical context based on aggregate data. They are not guarantees of relationship outcomes.
7. AI disclosure (FTC): Certain features use automated and artificial intelligence (AI) systems (including third-party AI providers) to generate or assist text and interpretations—for example Ask AI, compatibility narratives, transit language, and related summaries. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, outdated, or offensive and are generally not reviewed by a human unless we expressly say so. They are for entertainment and informational purposes only, not professional advice. Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, legal, financial, safety, employment, or relationship decisions. See our AI Policy and Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers and Assumption of Risk

All of our content is for informational and entertainment purposes only. It does not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Our insights are AI-generated and interpretive in nature.

1. Dating and Matchmaking Disclaimer: The Love Star™ makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy, timeliness, or usefulness of the astrology readings, compatibility scores, or the conduct of other users you interact with through the dating or social features. You assume all risk when using the Services and interacting with others, both online and at events.
2. Astrology and Compatibility Disclaimer: Compatibility between saved charts does not imply that the third party has consented to the comparison unless they are also a user of the Services. Percentile scores, transit forecasts, and Ask AI answers are interpretive and not guarantees. You assume all risk when relying on astrology or compatibility features.

12. Release and Waiver of Claims

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, by accessing or using the Services—including as a registered user, event attendee, ticket purchaser, or guest—you, on behalf of yourself and your heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, fully release, discharge, and forever waive any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses of every kind and nature, whether known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or related to the Services or your use of them.

This release applies against "Protected Parties," meaning Zelo LLC, The Love Star™, and each of their and our past, present, and future parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, divisions, successors, and assigns, and each of their and our officers, directors, members, managers, partners, employees, agents, representatives, contractors, subcontractors, licensors, suppliers, insurers, event organizers, event hosts, co-hosts, venue owners, venue operators, venue staff, landlords, sponsors, promoters, partners, volunteers, security personnel, medical personnel, and any other person or entity involved in providing, operating, promoting, or supporting the Services or any event (collectively with Zelo LLC and The Love Star™, the "Protected Parties").

Without limiting the foregoing, you release and waive all claims against the Protected Parties relating to:

1. Your use of the app, website, or any feature (including dating, messaging, astrology, compatibility, AI outputs, recommendations, social features, and payments);
2. Your attendance at, participation in, travel to or from, or presence at any in-person or virtual event listed, promoted, hosted, or facilitated through the Services;
3. Any interaction—online or offline—with any other user, attendee, host, venue employee, or third party connected to the Services;
4. Personal injury (including bodily injury, illness, disability, emotional distress, mental anguish, or death), property damage, theft, loss, harassment, assault, fraud, misrepresentation, defamation, privacy violations, or any other harm;
5. The conduct, statements, actions, or omissions of any Protected Party or any other user or attendee;
6. Event scheduling, cancellation, modification, venue conditions, food or beverage service, acoustics, lighting, seating, security measures, or emergency response;
7. Any reliance on astrology, compatibility scores, AI-generated content, matchmaking, or recommendations; and
8. Any dispute between you and another user, attendee, host, or venue.

California Civil Code Section 1542 Waiver: If you are a California resident, you expressly waive the benefits of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." You understand that you may later discover claims or facts in addition to or different from those now known or believed to exist, and you nevertheless agree to fully, finally, and forever settle and release all claims covered by this Section.

No Legal Action: Except as expressly provided in Section 15 (Binding Arbitration), you agree not to commence, maintain, join, or participate in any lawsuit, court action, administrative proceeding, or other legal action of any kind against any Protected Party arising out of or related to the Services, events, or your relationship with The Love Star™. You agree that your sole and exclusive remedy for such disputes is binding individual arbitration as set forth in Section 15, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

1. No warranties: The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
2. Cap on damages: In no event shall the aggregate liability of the Protected Parties for any claims arising out of or related to the Services exceed the greater of (a) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or (b) the amount you paid to Zelo LLC for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
3. Excluded damages: The Protected Parties shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity; personal injury or property damage (except where such limitation is prohibited by law); or any damages arising from interactions with other users, attendees, hosts, or venues—even if a Protected Party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
4. Third parties: The Love Star™ does not control and is not responsible for the acts or omissions of users, attendees, hosts, venues, payment processors, or other third parties. Any dispute you have with another person is solely between you and that person.
5. Essential purpose: You acknowledge that these limitations are an essential basis of the bargain between you and Zelo LLC and that the Services would not be provided without them.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Protected Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, lawsuits, investigations, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or related to:

1. Your use of the Services or attendance at any event;
2. Your User Content or conduct (online or offline);
3. Your violation of these Terms or applicable law;
4. Your interaction with any other user, attendee, host, venue, or third party;
5. Any allegation that your User Content infringes or violates another person's rights; or
6. Any dispute between you and another user, attendee, host, or venue.

We may assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense. You may not settle any claim without our prior written consent.

15. Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration; Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT REQUIRES YOU TO ARBITRATE DISPUTES WITH THE LOVE STAR AND LIMITS HOW YOU CAN SEEK RELIEF.

1. Informal resolution first: Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@zelo.chat and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.
2. Binding arbitration: Except for the limited exceptions in subsection 7 below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Services, any event, or your relationship with any Protected Party—whether based in contract, tort, statute, fraud, misrepresentation, or any other legal theory—shall be resolved by binding, individual arbitration and not in court. The arbitration shall be administered by JAMS (or, if JAMS is unavailable, another nationally recognized arbitration provider) under its applicable rules. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be San Francisco County, California, unless the parties agree otherwise. Governing law: These Terms and any dispute covered by this Section shall be governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another jurisdiction's laws. The arbitrator shall apply this governing law. The arbitrator may award the same damages and relief that a court could award, subject to these Terms.
3. No class or representative actions: YOU AND THE LOVE STAR AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED, PRIVATE ATTORNEY GENERAL, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
4. Jury trial waiver: YOU AND THE LOVE STAR WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL for any dispute covered by this Section.
5. Fee shifting: If the arbitrator finds that either the substance of your claim or the relief sought is frivolous or brought for an improper purpose, the arbitrator may award costs and reasonable attorneys' fees to the prevailing party as permitted by applicable law and the arbitration rules.
6. Opt-out: You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@zelo.chat with subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out," your full name, and the email associated with your account. If you opt out, Section 12 (Release) and Section 13 (Limitation of Liability) still apply.
7. Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction in San Francisco County, California, solely to prevent unauthorized use or abuse of intellectual property or the Services. Either party may also bring an individual action in small claims court if the claim qualifies and remains in that court.
8. Severability: If any portion of this Section 15 is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in effect, and any unenforceable portion shall be severed only to the minimum extent necessary. If the class action waiver in subsection 3 is found unenforceable, the entirety of this arbitration agreement shall be void, and disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
9. Survival: This Section 15 survives termination of your account and your use of the Services.

16. Data Deletion, Account Deletion, and Termination

You may delete your profile and associated data at any time from within the app or by contacting support.

Upon deletion:

1. We will remove or de-identify your data within a reasonable period, subject to operational constraints.
2. Certain information may be retained where necessary for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcing these Terms, or maintaining financial records and transaction history.
3. Content you already shared with others (for example, messages sent to other users) may remain visible to those recipients and may persist in backups, caches, or on recipient devices outside of our control.

17. Electronic Communications

By using the Services, you consent to receive communications electronically, including emails, push notifications, and in-app messages. These may include account messages, service updates, marketing, dating recommendation alerts, event notifications, astrology updates, or transactional information.

18. Event Attendance (Singles Events)

By attending any in-person or virtual events organized by, hosted by, promoted through, or facilitated via The Love Star™, you agree to the following additional terms in addition to Sections 12–15 above, which apply with full force to events, hosts, and venues:

1. Feedback Sharing: Notes and feedback that attendees write about others will be shared with attendees in both matched and unmatched cases. This feedback helps participants improve and contributes to a better experience over time. Match result emails list matched attendees by name and link you to Messages, where your chat threads are opened after a mutual match.
2. Use of the The Love Star™ App at Events: Unless circumstances do not permit (for example, poor or unavailable network connectivity or other operational constraints), all event participation workflows—including check-in, viewing attendees, selecting matches, and submitting feedback—must be conducted through the The Love Star™ web/mobile app. If circumstances do not permit app usage, The Love Star™ may use an alternative process at its discretion to facilitate the event. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event and/or denial of access to current and future events at The Love Star™'s sole discretion.
3. Media Consent: Attending any of our events constitutes automatic consent for The Love Star™ to capture photos and videos during the event. This media may be used for promotional purposes to invite more attendees and enhance future experiences. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please notify the event host before or during the event.
4. No Background Checks: The Love Star™ does not perform background checks on attendees. Please exercise discretion and caution when sharing personal information with other participants.
5. No Financial Assistance: Do not provide financial or other assistance to attendees. The Love Star™ is not responsible for any liabilities, damages, or losses resulting from personal interactions or transactions between attendees.
6. Behavioral Conduct: Any kind of inappropriate, disrespectful, or crass behavior—whether in-person or online—will result in denial of access to current and future events at The Love Star™'s sole discretion.
7. No Business Promotion or Solicitation: Promoting or publicizing your own business at an event is not permitted unless you have received prior permission from The Love Star™.
8. Assumption of Risk: By participating in any event organized by, hosted by, promoted through, or facilitated via The Love Star™, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks, whether known or unknown, associated with attending, traveling to or from, and interacting with other attendees, hosts, venue staff, or third parties—including personal injury, illness, disability, emotional distress, property damage, theft, assault, or death. You accept full responsibility for your choices and conduct.
9. Event Release: You reiterate and confirm the release in Section 12 specifically as to the event host, venue owner, venue operator, venue employees, contractors, sponsors, and all other Protected Parties connected to the event. You agree not to pursue legal action against any such person or entity except through binding individual arbitration under Section 15 (if applicable and not opted out).
10. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Protected Parties shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your attendance or participation in any event, including acts or omissions of hosts, venues, or other attendees.
11. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Protected Parties from any claims, losses, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your conduct at any event or your interactions with hosts, venues, or other attendees.
12. Right to Refuse Service: The Love Star™ and event hosts reserve the right to refuse admission, remove, or ban any attendee from current or future events for any reason, including but not limited to safety concerns, harassment, or violation of these terms.
13. Emergency Situations: In case of a medical or security emergency, The Love Star™ staff, hosts, venue personnel, or contractors may take reasonable action to ensure safety, including contacting emergency services. The Protected Parties assume no responsibility for the outcome of such actions.
14. Host responsibility for safety and privacy: The safety of a hosted event, and the privacy of people at that event, are the host’s responsibility. A member who publishes or hosts an event through The Love Star™ is solely responsible for safety at the event and for the privacy of attendees and of any personal information that host collects, receives, or shares because of the event. The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC provide the listing and, where enabled, ticket checkout. We do not operate a member’s event. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC cannot be held accountable or liable for the safety or privacy of an event a member hosts, or for that host’s acts or omissions.
15. Event Ticket Refunds: Tickets for events organized by Zelo LLC are final and non-refundable. Refunds will only be issued if Zelo LLC cancels the event. Any refund request must be submitted within 48 hours of the event's scheduled start time; requests received after this period will not be processed. Any approved refund will be limited strictly to the face value of the event ticket. Third-party service fees, including but not limited to Eventbrite fees, are non-refundable. Member-hosted community events follow Section 7: the host keeps the ticket price, the buyer pays a platform fee that steps with the room (5% up to 50 guests, 8% up to 200, 12% up to 500; featured nights add 10 points) plus Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30 card fee, payout is held until 48 hours after the event, refunds come out of the host’s share, and the platform fee is refunded with the ticket. A room holds at most 500 guests. A free event is free only up to 50 guests. Zelo LLC and the Protected Parties are not responsible or liable for any additional costs incurred by attendees, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, food, drinks, or other incidental or personal expenses. Non-satisfactory outcomes, including but not limited to a lack of matches or inability to attend for personal reasons, do not qualify for a refund.
16. Right to terminate an event: The Love Star™ and Zelo LLC reserve the right to cancel, remove, or otherwise terminate any event, including an event a member hosts and an event we organize, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason. Terminating an event does not make us the host of a member’s night. Ticket refunds follow Section 18.15 and, for a community event, Section 7.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

20. Copyright Policy; DMCA; Repeat Infringers

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same.

1. Your responsibility: You may not upload, post, or share User Content that infringes another party's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
2. DMCA takedown notice: If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agent with:
   • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed;
   • Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to locate it (e.g., URL, username, event/post ID);
   • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
   • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
   • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and
   • Your physical or electronic signature.

5. Repeat infringers: In appropriate circumstances, we may terminate or restrict accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
6. No legal advice: Nothing in this Section constitutes legal advice. Consult an attorney if you are unsure how to submit a notice or counter-notice.
