How a host gets paid
A signed-in member who publishes a community event sets the ticket price. The Love Star keeps a platform fee from that price: 10% through 50 guests, 12% through 200, and 15% through 500. The host keeps the rest. The buyer pays in the app: that price plus Stripe’s card fee (2.9% + $0.30). A member’s Eventbrite page is the listing.
What the buyer pays
On a $25 ticket for a room of up to 50 guests, the platform fee is $2.50 and the host keeps $22.50. The buyer pays $26.06 (Stripe’s card fee is $1.06). Through 200 guests the host keeps $22.00. Through 500 guests the host keeps $21.25. The buyer’s card fee stays the same at each room size. The same rule applies to an in-person night and an online night.
Room size
- A room holds at most 500 guests.
- A free event a member hosts holds 25 guests.
- A larger room needs a paid ticket of at least $5 (up to 50 guests), $10 (up to 200), or $15 (up to 500).
- Checked-in members see profile photos and a compatibility score in the app. The public event link does not publish that guest list.
When the host is paid
Payout is 48 hours after the event. Paid checkout starts when the host connects a payout account. Until then, guests can see the price and are not charged. Refunds come out of the host’s share. A night Zelo LLC organizes is not this member payout.
